At ISRC, we believe that sustainable growth of business depends upon sustainable development of society. Our corporate social responsibility, therefore, focuses on the well-being of society. To weave this belief into the very fabric of our work and to involve our employees in a meaningful community development, ISRC has tied up with United Way, a world renowned charitable association.

Together with United Way, we are making an effort to improve the lives of less-fortunate children and youth in 10 villages at Kolwan Valley. Engaging the children with education and other fruitful activities, it ensures their holistic growth. The youth of these villages are being trained as teachers, who in turn are role models for the children. Our employees also contribute to the well-being and growth of the children participating in the training of youth teachers and interacting with those children of the Village Activity Centers on holidays.

Funds are raised for this noble venture by innovative ways. With the help of United Way, ISRC has launched a “Payroll Giving Program” at ISRC. Payroll Giving lets our employees contribute a fixed amount every month from their salary. Employees have generously signed up for Payroll Giving and pledged their support towards children of Kolwan Valley. The organization offers a 100% matching contribution for employee’s donation every month.

ISRC conducts events like "Breakfast with Bosses", where bosses cook dishes for their subordinates and serve them the same at a fund raising event for supporting company’s CSR activities. This unique initiative encourages employees to participate enthusiastically in such events and help in raising funds for the noble cause.

"How far that little candle throws his beams! So shines a good deed in a weary world," writes William Shakespeare. Our contribution to "a weary world" would be minimal, but it has its own impact: it brightens the lives of many children at Kolwan Valley and through our CSR activities we are following our principle of building a sustainable community.
